How to get to Camotes Island:
  • From Cebu, you could easily travel to Camotes Island since there are daily trips from Danao City Port (motorized banca and RORO boats), from Mandaue City Ouano Warf (motorized banca) and from Pier 1 (ferry boat/fast craft).
  • There also flights to Camotes but its chartered and mostly for private tours only.

    yes there are rooms for rent for about PHP4000 but only few are there.

    There's only one island in Camotes. Bakhaw beach is located in barangay San Francisco in Camotes island. You could ask local people there to lead you the way in bakhaw beach. Or you could rent a cab or habal2x in order to get there.. :)

      There are two, islands, one with three municipalities and the other one(actually we call an islet)it's a small island with one municipality. San Francisco is not a barangay but a Town .

    Yes, it has own bathroom, aircon and tv.. prices ranges from 3-5K PHP.. I don't see any swimming pool when i went there.. Thanks.:)

    hi! im from camotes island, preferably in Poro Camotes, i just want to correct for everybody's info. that there are 4 town's in camotes, Poro, Tudela, San francisco and Pilar.

    Bakhaw beach resort: to correct: it's flying fish Resort and it is located in Poro Camotes after the Barangay Cagcagan, while The Mangodlong and Santiago Resort were all in San Francsico Camotes. Have A good Day To All!

    Camotes has three major islands with 4 municipalities. Flying fish resort is different from that of Bakhaw but both of them are in Barangay Cagcagan, Poro. Unknown to everybody but Cagcagan is the place of one of the multi- awarded (locally and internationally) rice scientists of the Philippines.

    hi everyone i'm from camotes island. Just to correct information. camotes has 4 municipalities(san francisco, pilar, poro and tudela). MANGODLONG BEACH. SANTIAGO BAY RESORT, MANGODLONG PARADISE RESORT, BAKHAW RESORT, TIMUBO CAVE AND LAKE LANAO is located at MUNICIPAL OF SAN FRANCISCO...BUKILAT CAVE is located at TUDELA, FLYING FISH RESORT, AND LITTLE ISLAND HOTEL is located at PORO.

    YES, theres a place to stay in bakhaw beach....

    I like Bakhaw beach better than Santiago Bay :-)

    Mahriz, there are two accommodations there: Borromeo's Bahay Bakasyonan and Keshe Resort.
