One of the sites that you should look by in Ginatilan, is the Inambakan falls. Inambakan falls is lodged deep into the paradise mountains of Ginatilan. With an astounding height, the water plunges into a deep cold basin before it flows down to a stream. The waterfall is considerably narrow, instead of the usual wide cascade, but this is precisely what makes Inambakan unique. Though despite its narrowness, the volume of water that drops is heavy and causes a roar as it touches the pool.

How to get to Ginatilan:
- Ginatilan can be reached by public buses from South Bus Terminal or V-Hires (van) from City Link. You can either ride Ceres Liners / Sunrays / Rough Rider buses via Barili route or Oslob route. It takes 4 hours to arrive in your destination.
- Once in Ginatilan, the major transportation to upland barangays is habal-habal or a private motorcycle which can accommodate four to six passengers that will take you to Inambacan Falls at Php30 to Php60. If you want to tour the town, tricycles are abundant there.

ReplyDeletei have been to inambakan falls sometime in 2009. side trip lang man 'to. unsay man ang nice nga ma-stayhan sa ginatilan? layo man gud ang falls.
ReplyDeletewaaaaaaaaa!!!! gimingaw ko ug inambakan! nice kaayo ituslob sa tubig on a hot sunny day kay ang tubig murag ice water kabugnaw
ReplyDeleteI like to go back to Inambakan. Ganahan ko sa falls kay bugnaw, murag ice water. Pero there is more to Ginatilan than just Inambakan. There are certain areas that are marked as historical spots, such as the Holy Trinity College, the San Gregorio Magno Church, the statue of the Assumption in front of the church, the Divine Mercy chapel on top of Hambubuyog mountain, Bantayan sa Hari (the watchtower. Only one was left, since the second one was taken down decades before, said my aunt), the ancestral houses of the Ferrarens and the Ferolins, Puerta dela Marina (the opening to the market). There is also the infamous "Sigbin Avenue", and I found no traces of sigbin in it. Another good place to be is, of course, ang tindahan ni Manay Batay.
ReplyDeleteAy, correction... the Monument of the Assumption and the Divine Mercy chapel are not marked as historical spots (indicated by yellow signs), but these are must-see in Ginatilan.
DeleteThanks for the info Mitchi ^_^
